Mix #128: Choose To Share – by Zap’al’odd

This is my, “get ready for spring”, mix for this years Springfestival in Graz. Whole lotta House music in town. For example, Recondite, James Holden and Ben Klock are on the wheels of steel. As well, some Drum and Bass is going on, presented by Roni Size, DJ Krust and DJ Hype.

I don’t play House music very often. Especially Deep House is, for my taste, mostly too slow and simply too less to make me shake. But as it is, there are always tasty tracks in every genre and the more I listen to this kind of music, the more I like the groove.

The mix consists of 14 tracks. Two by Ken Hayakawa (Schönbrunner Perlen/Vienna). In my opinion, his remix of Johan Johansen’s “Fallin” is real perfect and the track “Modular” , released on Instant Grooves by Denis Yashin, is also wonderful. Massive Jack, Brazilian producer and DJ, is represented with the G-House track “I’m Buck”. He is a member of Duo Box Records (Sao Paulo), the label, which will release an EP with 4 tracks by myself soon. The last 2 tracks are homegrown. “Hamma Alles” and “Honey Bunny” … like it or not … it’s my shit! I choose to share it with you.
