Chris Summer – New Dawn

I have been involved in a very fun and interesting music project initiated by my friend Chris Summer. In a collective effort with several friends, we created a track called “New Dawn” in which I contributed the bass (played on an actual bass guitar), another friend did the vocals and Chris put it all together.

I would describe the original track as “atmospheric electro-pop”. I do find it catchy and it still does not bore me even after listening to it many times – which is a good sign.

There are also several remixes for the track and I found it quite fascinating to have been part of this process in which every remixer gave the track a totally different character.

My own remix (“Kumulus 7 Remix”) is a future garage version of the original track that gives it a completely different and darker spin.

The “Boldewyn” remix is probably the most danceable version and could very well work on a dancefloor under the bright blue sky.

In the “Vintage Version”, the track is taken in a much more atmospheric direction almost without any beats – very dreamy.

Finally, the “Sun Flare Remix” is a true club version that would fit nicely into a melodic tech-house set.

All versions are available as free downloads for a limited time so get your copy while you can!

Oh, and I’d also love to hear your feedback! Let us know what you think in the comments!
