Sweet Headache 071: mörtzendise this – Garage Edt.

It’s always difficult to name your own ideas – especially when it’s about music and when it’s about genres which are not exactly to define. For me it’s the problem to say by 100% that all the tracks in this mix are situated in “Future Garage”. But it is my interpretation of what the future of Garage music is.
I want to mention some artists and tracks which are represented in this mix. First of all, there is this beautiful LP from SBTRKT which combines Pop-music elements with some influences from the whole electronic-dub scene perfectly and brings every track to the point.
To combine Rustie and Machinedrum is a bit daring, but I think they both have a relevant influence on the modern electronic Szene in UK. Rustie as a young talented producer, Dj and music-lover representing something like a more Hip-Hop oriented, Soul-Disco influenced Breakbeat. Machinedrum is the experienced guy experimenting in other directions but still marks the same category of a demanding understatement of modern and experimental sound.
