Mix #114: House meets Drum’n’Bass

I have written a couple of times before about how much I like DJ sets that cover more than one genre. While preparing for the next DiscoPony Cologne party that I am hosting, I was thinking a lot about which styles I wanted to cover: House and Liquid DnB just seemed like a natural combination for a cross-genre electronic music party.

I still remember the first time that someone introduced Liquid DnB to me, and he described it as “Drum’n’Bass made with House sounds”. I still think that is quite an accurate description. However, you rarely hear those two styles combined in one DJ set due to the different BPMs. I wanted to show that a combination of the two styles works very well and also that seamless mixing is possible:
