Sweet Headache 044: Therapy

My taste in music changes with the seasons. I tend to listen to funky sounds in summer and dark Techno sounds in winter. However, right now I am just sick of the cold and darkness outside, and I needed some music to cheer myself up. So here’s a funky House/Breakbeat mix that’ll hopefully do the same for you.

Nerditional information: I love the irony in the DJs From Mars track in this mix. Mixing the vocal of a wannabe rockstar (Rihanna) with the music of a true rockstar (Iron Maiden) and putting some extra BOOM into the track makes it one of my favorite mashups right now.

Another longtime favorite of mine is Cinthie’s “All We Need”. This was released during the big Electroclash wave a few years ago, but I just love how it manages to sound both old and new at the same time.

And if you haven’t seen the video for Martin Solveig’s “Hello” yet, go check it out! It’s a little long, but very entertaining, and it show Bob Sinclair and Martin Solveig playing tennis.
