Sweet Headache feat. Luka V

Luka V caught my attention when he posted two of his mixes on the wall of the Sweet Headache page on Facebook. I checked out his mixes and was pleasantly surprised with his fast and energetic mixing style, so I asked him for an interview.

First of all, let’s start with a mix by Luka V. I am still impressed that he managed to pack 24 tracks in a little over half an hour…

“My main goal is to make such mixes that just hearing them will make you wanna dance. That’s why I select the songs carefully, and I take only the essence of every song.”

Luka V clearly aims at making people dance instead of being too artsy about his music. This also shows in his musical preferences which range from House and Techno to HipHop and Pop:

“I listen to the tons of music from all kinds of genres.
Some of my favorites are: Swedish house mafia, Lady Gaga, Riva Starr, Eminem, Umek, 50 Cent, Robbie Williams, Danniel Licht, Moonbean. It is hard to say why, maybe because they are innovative and different in just the way my ears love it.”

Having lived in Milano (Italy) for three years, Luka V has recently returned to his home country Slovenia where he is not only looking for good clubs to play in, but also for new influences and inspirations.

“I think that its not only people that influence me, but lots of things. I like to be around new, interesting things – I am fan of modern design, new technology, and i like to surround myself with interesting people. I also like travelling to other parts of the world, where i can get in touch with different cultures etc..”
